The Blind Boone Park Wind Harp was designed by Ron Konzak. The harp is 13-foot tall and plays when the wind speed exceeds 10-15 mph. Originally the harp was located in front of the Planetarium at the St. Louis Science Center. After being placed in storage for a few year the harp was installed in a Blind Boone Park which was being rehabilitated through community effort. The park is named for John William "Blind" Boone, an African-American concert pianist and composer. He was known for the Ragtime music he brought to the concert stage as well as his work as a classical pianist and composer. For information the construction of this wind harp see harp history and construction and for more information on the park  see Blind Boone Park website
