One of Daingerfield's works, a mural titled "Madonna of the Hills", can be viewed at the Episcopal Church in downtown Blowing Rock. In recognition of this gift to the church, the congregation's name was changed from Stringfellow Chapel, to St. Marys of the Hills.
To reach the marker from the Blue Ridge Parkway, milepost 294.5, exit onto US-211 and go southwesterly about 0.4 mile, to the marker on the left. Or, from downtown Blowing Rock, take US-221 South for 2.8 miles.
