This site is actually dedicated to the Stones River National Battlefield, but has been designated by the NPS as a part or the Trail of Tears NHT.

The Cherokee passed this way along the military road which has now been overlain by the "Old Nashville Highway" that runs along the north edge of the battlefield.

Like several other NPS designated sites along the Trail there is a Passport Stamp available for the NHT, but little in the way of inturpetive data so far. The park staff have some knowledge of the trail and the stamp, but no pamphlets or any real information.
