The Pompey Callaway House is a 1910 house in the historically black section of the town Elliston. The builder and owner, Pompey Callaway, was born a slave in Franklin County. It is said that he modeled his home after the home of his former master. Virginia Landmarks Register: June 20, 1989 National Register of Historic Places: November 13, 1989.
