Missouri historical marker located at historic Civil War fort south of Pilot Knob. The marker commemorates the battle around the fort during the Civil War and Arcadia Valley.

Fort Davidson is a state historic site and is maintained by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources.

History of Mark:

Updates since 1953:
1. Clark National Forest was combined with the Mark Twain National Forest in 1976.
Fort Davidson is now under the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, Division of Parks and Historic Sites.

2. The Ursuline Academy closed in 1971.

3. The Home for Aged baptists is currently known as the Baptist Home.
