This fountain is "on" at all times, except in extremely inclement or cold weather (when it would be hazardous to have water splashing on the street.) It makes a fabulous centerpoint and landmark for people entering the Eli Lilly Corporate Center. It's even lit up at night from underwater, so the fountain can be seen even in the dark.
The fountain circle drive is flanked by the Eli Lilly Corporate Center in Indianapolis, right off I-70. Flags of the countries of the world stand next to the drive, demonstrating the widespread nature of Lilly's work and cooperation.
Lilly hasn't lost sight of its Indiana roots, however - when the Indianapolis Colts won the Superbowl in 2007, the fountain water ran Colts-blue for a month! Colts flags flanked the circle drive to greet everyone driving by or visiting.
This fountain provides a gorgeous landmark to anyone driving by or visiting.
