Carrolton Covered Bridge was built in 1855 by Emmett and Daniel O'Brien.

The bridge crosses Buckhannon River and is 156 feet in length. The bridge truss construction is Burr Truss type with a cement floor. West Virginia bridge number is 48-01-02.
