The 14 Stations of the Cross are represented around the cemetery at St. Charles. The Stations and grounds are very well kept. The Stations have stone carvings depicting the various scenes, which are inside a wooden housing on a stone base.

St. Charles was originally built as a seminary for training priests. In 1844, Father Francis DeSales Brunner brought with 7 priests and 7 brothers from Switzerland to begin a mission for serving the large German population living in the area at the time. The grounds currently serve as a retirement village for priests and brothers.
