This is a very old Fishing Pond, and was in existence of the Littel Farm House built here in l730's, I assume the spring was running way before the l730's too, when the Lenni Lenape Indians lived in this area.

The pond is about 300 feet wide and about 300 feet long, and it is stocked with trout every Spring by the Berkeley Heights, Police Department for their Annual Fishing Derby which is for all the youngsters in our town, many fish live there all year though.

There are trout in it, sunnies, catfish, snail, eels, etc, and you can find someone generally there on weekends during the year, except in the winter when it is too cold,

I took my grandson there many many times, and I am going to include pictures of my grandson fishing there and one of the Sunny"s he caught . These pictures I will put into the gallary, so take a look,

This has a picnic bench and table so that you can come and have a leisure time fishing and eating there, even a grill is supplied if you want to cook outside.

It is a nice place to visit, come see for yourself,
The Farm House is open on the third Sunday of the month, and the Spring House too is open the third Sunday of the month, You can however see the spring running into the spring house, and out of the spring house, and into the pond, The pond now is airated because several years ago algae started to take over the pond,

This Littel Farm House and the pond are listed on the National Registry of Historical houses, It is a nice place to fish, and to relax, etc, come visit it some time,
