This is the site of the first Wayside Home (the name given to Confederate hospitals). This hospital handled 10,000 Confederate sick and wounded during it's 3 years in existence. A very remarkable feat.

This site is located in historic Kingston, Georgia a town that some have said has the most historic markers per citizen of any town anywhere. There is a museum across the street from this marker chocked full of history of the area.
