Nice old monument dedicated to William L Jeffers. Monument reads: "A soldier in the Mexican War and Colonel Eight Missouri Calvary CSA. Enlisted at Jackson, MO, 1861. Born at Galliopolis, Ohio, Sept 27, 1827. Died at Corpus Christi, Texas, Feb 15, 1903." Located at north entrance to Jackson Cemetery.
