This beach is located on the Lake Huron side of the lighthouse at Tawas Point. The water is very clear, I could see all the way to the bottom, but at this time of year it's also very very cold!!
It's a beautiful beach with a pavilion for use in the summer time. There is a main boardwalk entrance to get down to the beach and several other trails along the way. You get a great view of the lighthouse if you look away from the water. They also have habitat ponds between the beach and the park for the local dragonflies and mosquitos to gather at.
As far as I could tell the water is very shallow for quite a ways out, we were there while the tide was out, but heading back in and it was fun to stand way far out in Lake Huron in the spots that were still uncovered.
You do have to pay a small fee to enter the park, but there is alot to see there, it looks like a great place to go in the summertime.
There is no specific sign for the beach, since it runs the entire length of the park, also since it's part of the park they don't make a separate designation for it.
