This site has performed many significant tests for military and civilian applications. Many of the tests in the early 1950s led to the development of lap and shoulder restraint seat belts common in all vehicles today.
Using the following link address (http://www.grc.nasa.gov/WWW/K-12/airplane/mach.html), one can calculate how fast Mach 10 really is! Using the altitude measured at the actual posted sign, per the waymark coordinates, results in a speed of 7507 MPH! I dare anyone to find a faster terrestrial speed!
