Bethesda Park is a completely accessible and barrier free recreation complex, operating year-round and providing easy access to the outdoors. This specially designed park offers a wide range of facilities that meet the recreational needs of individuals with disabilities as well as the general public.
Amenities: The Bethesda Park Lodge (Center) is a multi-purpose building offering a full kitchen and restrooms for groups of up to 200 persons. The lodge can be used for an assortment of indoor activities.
For overnight stays, enjoy one of the park's four fully-equipped cabins. Each of the cabins includes four bunk beds, a restroom, kitchenette, screened porch and an outdoor grill.
Fish in a 16-acre lake maintained and stocked for fishing by the Florida Game and Fresh Water Fish Commission. A fishing license is required for all anglers ages 16-64. Complementing the park's natural setting are 1,400 feet of nature trail boardwalks and picturesque picnic facilities.
Programs: Senior's Dance, 2nd Wednesday of each month, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.; Senior activities, 4th Wednesday of each month, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.; Dance for People With Disabilities, 3rd Thursday of each month, 7 - 9 p.m.; Yoga for Seniors, 10-11 a.m. on various days.
Hours of Operation: 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Facility Rental: Three-hour minimum rental is $75 plus $50 for clean-up. Additional hours will incur a charge of $25 per hour. Cabins may be rented for $33.90 per night on a first-come, first-served basis.
Facility Equipment: Fully equipped kitchen, restrooms, chairs & tables, central heat and air.
Capacity: 200 (Center).
