A cracking local fish and chip shop which is justifiably busy both lunch times and evenings. It also combines the Brunch Bar next door selling a wide range of food, drinks and newspapers.

The Wee Chippy is located on an estate in Kendal - Rinkfield. It serves both the surrounding community but also does a roaring lunch time trade from the local school a few minutes walk away. It's also a favourite with builders and tradesmen looking for a quick lunch.
Their menu is fairly standard covering the usual items in a British fish & chip shop. They also offer baked potatoes. For a classy night out, you can pick up a fish supper together with a bottle of wine as the Brunch Bar is partly an off-licence! Although the Brunch Bar is closed in the evening there is a large hole between the two shops, and behind the scenes it's all one shop.
The quality of the food is excellent and it is always freshly prepared and a joy to eat. The staff are friendly and the service is good. Open 11.30-1.30 lunch time and 4.30-8.00 in the evening, closed Sunday.
