The ford across Winter river has a stone footbridge on downstream edge. Cars have to use the ford, pedestrians have a small bridge. The metal depth gauge measures up to 6 feet deep, which would put the footbridge under 3 feet of water.

A concrete apron leads in to the gravelly river bed with tarmac leading out the west side. Depth gauge in feet suggests how deep the crossing might be. A well known auto test for car rallies.
