These springs help to form Whitewater Branch, a small stream that eventually flows into the St. John's River. They bubble up from below the stream bed, further strengthening the flow of water as the stream makes its way through the ravine. Similar springs can be found in other parts of the ravine, all contributing to the water flow, and furthering the formation of the steephead ravine. The springs maintain a constant water temperature of 72 degrees year-round.
There is a $4.00 per vehicle charge to enter the park.
