Marker Text: Early humans had no signs, maps, or roads yet they traveled extensively in search of food, clothing, shelter, and water. How did these travelers know where to go? Using lava flows, montain ranges, rivers, and vegetation as landmarks, they located seasonal hunting camps and stored supplies. Road maps of the past were distinct landscape features. Which ones would you use to find your way home.
