The Oasis Tavern is located along South Tacoma Way, originally U.S. Route 99. The business is still open, but the sign shows very few signs that it is still an "oasis."

Originally it looks like this sign had a neon palm tree on it, but it proved a little to delicate for this tavern filled strip of Tacoma. It is located along South Tacoma Way, originally a portion of US Route 99.
The following information about the Oasis is from a recent article about the night life of South Tacoma Way in the Tacoma News Tribune:
This cozy outpost is darts central with several boards and a cluster of shiny trophies against one wall. There was also an unusual plethora of nut products (cashews, M&M-like candy) available from gum machines on the counter. You know, in case you get the munchies.
