Island Lake
You can make this a day trip or backpack in for a day or two is a great place to just relax we bring our grandsons (they carry there own packs)
Park at Carr Lake (N39*24.068 W120*38.632) aprox. 6687' start your hike at the (Carr and Feeley lake) trail head follow your GPS to Island lake, take your time and enjoy the scenery along the trail aprox. time 2.5 - 3.5 hours its best to start early so you can set up camp before dark..
Campground Variables:
Utility Hookups -- None - Bring water or water filter!
Popups/RVs Allowed -- Even a 4X4 can't get there.
Pets Allowed -- Bring your dog.
Bathrooms Available -- Yes lots of trees BYOTP!
Showers Available -- Island Lake is not to cold once you get in!
Cost --Just the cost of gas to Carr Lake.
Seasonal -- Yes anytime your above 6000' you have to watch the weather.!
