The El Jobean Fishing Pier is located next to the El Jobean Bridge and extends into the Myakka River. It was the original El Jobean Charlotte Harbor & Northern Railroad Bridge that brought travelers across the Myakka River into Englewood or back to Port Charlotte. It was a draw bridge that could be reeled up to allow boats to pass. In its history, the bridge has burned twice and been repaired by Charlotte County twice.
When the CH&N railroad tracks were taken up, the draw-section of the bridge was removed and the bridge was converted into a pier that is now very popular for fishing.

Snook is the main attraction in the Myakka River. Mind the
FWC Regulations and keep a look out for sawfish.
