This historic courthouse in Vevay, Indiana served as a stop on the Underground Railroad. The plaque on the courthouse exterior reads: "The Dungeon" A stop on the underground railroad bringing slaves to freedom. 1862-1864.
Very beautiful courthouse in a really nice river town on the Ohio. If you visit, don't miss the six sided, brick outhouse in back of the courthouse.
