This benchmark is near the northern end of Bowman Dam in the concrete wall supporting the reservoir overlook and sign. It is located near the point where the overlook fence and road guard rail meet. It was set by the Bureau of Reclamation and is marked 3264.02 feet.
This benchmark is near the location of three former benchmarks (QD0310, QD0311, & QD0312) which were located on the concrete piers of the old wooden bridge across the Crooked River prior to 1962 when the construction of Bowman Dam buried them under about 160 feet of rock fill.
