Schuyler's City Hall was designed by a German born architect, Joseph Guth. His two-story brick building with a prominent clock/bell tower is in a style widely used in European cities. It originally housed a fire station on the first level and a council chamber on the second floor. Most city offices have moved to a new building but the old City Hall is still used by the police department and rooms are utilized for meetings by local groups.
