"A boy looking at the moon" (Pojke som tittar på månen) is the smallest public sculpture in Sweden. The work is based on one of Liss Eriksson’s childhood experiences – one time when he sat sleepless, curled up on his bed looking at the moon. The expressive warmth contrasts the form’s reservation.
It is probably one of the best-liked sculptures in the city. People react to the small boy with tenderness. They have knitted both scarves and hats for the sculpture, and the little head shines from all the gentle pats received.
