An interesting challenge for those who's method of transportation warrants off roading! I prefer the ATV (mainly because that's all I have right now) but a modified jeep can get you to the top.
The hardest, most streneous part of the trail is near the summit of Crystal Mountain. It is so called "Heart Attack Hill" and for a good reason.
For a warmup run snag moody hill on your way up, the trail system will join up with Crystal Mountain's trails. Moody's TH starts at N 40 34.263, W 105 20.883. Crystal Mountain TH starts at N 40 32.740, W 105 24.807.
Be sure to bring your map/compass too and study the area, there are lots of spur trails that can get you in trouble if you're not paying attention.
Enjoy the summit! It's awesome! And be sure to snag this
waymark if you didn't already.
