Residents of "Jimtown", PA have long used The Stone Arch as a landmark for giving directions and there is a certain pride taken in preserving this stone railroad bridge. Outrage was expressed a few years ago when it was suggested the bridge be torn out. So it stayed. There used to be a restaurant in Jamestown just down the street named after it, and even though the owners moved their dining facilities to Greenville, they kept the name! After Conrail ripped out their lines from the Jamestown Area, the bridge is still used by 4x4's to ride the bed.
