The Trail of the Coeur d’Alenes nearly spans the Panhandle of Idaho as it runs for 73 miles along rivers, beside lakes and through Idaho’s historic Silver Valley. Do Not miss the picture of the bridge that crosses the Chatcolet portion of Coeur d’Alene Lake. This trip isn't so much about its physical aspects as much as the shear beauty of it. This entire area has been restored from the minning abuses of the past. Everyone involved is deservedly proud of this accomplishment. However due to this situation and on going efforts it is stressed that you bring your own water. Do not use surface water even if filtered. A fresh and safe resupply is available in spots just off the trail in communities and campgrounds along the way.
