This is a fantastic arboretum that we have visited many times before. They have herb gardens, lily gardens, cactus and butterfly areas. Any type of shrub, tree or flower you can think of you will find here. You walk under a canopy of crepe myrtle trees after entering through an arbor to wander the ins and outs of this arboretum.
This facility conducts various programs, educational in nature, in the areas of marine life, horticulture, consumer and family sciences, 4-H interests and of course, agriculture.
Because this cooperative agricultural extension service is open to the public, you are likely going to have the opportunity to take any number of classes, seminars and demonstrations presented by them. They even have master gardener programs and nutrition programs for families. This extension service of St. John's Agricultural Center in St. Augustine is a great resource for anything having to do with getting back to nature and respecting the environment.
