Description of Memorial:
Appears to be an old gas station building, lawn in view between highway and two trees holding sing used to be the drive area to the pumps. "Back Yard" is loop chain fenced in and a cross is placed for every soldier who died. The war, name, year and for some the battle of their passing. Grass cut clean and neat, area very pleasant. The "town" brick building are all abandoned and many crumbling. This building is the only clean and well kept one.

Found this place leaving Knox County and headed for the county seat of Shelby County. As I traveled down (south) (MO-15) the state highway and rounded a 90° I saw a few abandoned brick buildings when the white cross caught my eye. I stopped and walked around. Amazed at what I saw. Simple yet beautiful.
