This building was completed in 1837 and it is thought to be a major stopping point for stage traffic on Ridge Road. Little documentation on this building has been found by local historians.
The building features small and medium sized cobblestones, laid in horizontal rows, 5 rows to the quoins. The quoins, water table, sills and lintels are cut brown Medina sandstone.
It is believed to be the largest cobblestone building in New York State.
