This annual festival began in 2004 and takes place in the beautiful city of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. This city is located along the South Saskatchewan River north of the less populous city of Regina. The festival has been held in conjunction with the Canada Remembers Airshow which commemorates Canada’s War Veterans. The event takes place at the end of August.

The Saskatoon Balloon Festival is organized by Sundance Balloons and the Canada Remembers Airshow. The event takes place at Kinsmen Park just east of the downtown core and west of the Saskatchewan River. A mass ascension at the airshow site is conducted on the Saturday evening. Saskatoon is surrounded by prairie farms and cattle ranches making for an enjoyable flight regardless of direction. The hospitality of the locals is great and we always look forward to making the trip to Saskatoon.
