This beautiful historic Victorian Inn was built in 1877 as the Levitt House, and is on Highway 395, the main street of Bridgeport, California. With a reputation for comfortable lodging, fine dining and friendly service, the Bridgeport Inn has long been a favorite destination for travelers from around the world.
Samuel Clemens, who penned "Tom Sawyer" and "Huckleberry Finn" was a frequent traveler in the old west. In the late 1800’s he visited Bridgeport. The Victorian second floor room has been named “The Mark Twain” suite in honor of his stay at the old Bridgeport Inn.
