This sign is located at the pioneer grave near Fish Lake Remount Station off Ore Hwy 126.

Marker Name: Oregon History
Marker Text: Charity Ann Noble was born January 23, 1856 and was married to James P. Marks on November 3, 1873.
The Marks family was crossing the Santiam Pass in the fall of 1875 and was caught in a snow storm and did not get across before a child was born to Mrs. Marks.
Charity Ann Marks and her infant child died October 18, 1875 and are buried in this grave.
