West Meredith Cemetery
Churchyard burial grounds of earliest settlers. Earliest church in Meredith founded by the efforts of Nathan Stilson. This Baptist church constituted in 1811 with 34 members. Built adjacent West Meredith Baptist church in 1828. Burned 1863 when slavery and abolitionism divided congregation. Listed on State and National registers of historic places 2003. Ceremony held 2004 to celebrate listings and to honor ten Revolutionary War and two French and Indian War soldiers here interred. Donations made by descendants and friends to erect this sign.
