Smooth unpolished granite memorial dedicated to the 30 Boone County citizens who lost their lives in the Vietnam War. Other than the inscription of "Vietnam War, 1963 - 1975" and the 30 names of those who died there is no dedication on the memorial.
Other memorials on the Courthouse lawn include the Civil War, World war I, World War II and Korean War, and the Persian Gulf War. Memorials are on the lawn at the intersection of Walnut and 8th Streets.
