"Where"-"3/4 Mile"-"Whatever" are posted at the top of many wooden, painted signs, cut-up license plates, and birdhouses that makes an ecclectic assortment of objects at the intersection of NH Routes 123 and 31 in Greenville, NH.

I had to stop and investigate this assortment more closely when I came to this intersection on the way home. It first appeared to be a set of home made signs giving directions to known cities, like Nashua, Boston, and Montreal. However, also among these signs are other signs and objects that may or may not be related to directions.
At the top are three signs:
"Where?"
"3/4 Mile -->"
"Whatever"
In the middle are several signs with a day of the week painted on it - in a German or Germanic language, such as "Montag" (Monday in German), "Donnerstag" (Thursday in German), and "Woensdag" ( Wednesday in Dutch).
Then, at the bottom, is
"Free Tibet"
"Smile"
"God Bless All"
Are these signs that someone has found while traveling around? Do they like going to Boston on Thursdays?
I could not find any thing on the web that talked about these signs in detail, such as who put them up (and why). So, if there are any locals out there who know about this, I would love to hear more!
