The First Permanent Settlement of Wells was at this site when in 1640/41 Edmund Littlefield Erected his Saw and Grist Mills.
It's quite a small park with just a few picnic tables, but a nice spot to have lunch by the water.
Address and /or location: From the intersection of Rts. 1 and 9B in Wells, travel north on Rt. 1. Make a left onto Falls Park/Buffum Hill Rd. Follow Falls Park Road to the end. Despite most online maps showing Falls Park Road as a through road, it ends at a dead end where the park is.
Who put it there (Sponsor): Was placed by the Historical Society, please see picture with a list of all the sponsors
Date (Erected or Dediated): Unknown
