This is a small marker at the first intersection past the entrance of the Leavenworth National Cemetery.

This small marker has been placed by the Heartland of America Chapter No. 39 Fourth Marine Division Association WWII. This marker shows the insigna of the fourth as well as the Anchor, Globe; and Eagle of the Marines. A picture of the flag raising on Iwo Jima is also present.
