Martin's Mill Covered Bridge was built in 1849 by builder Jacob Shirk. The bridge is a 2 span bridge of Town Truss construction, 206 feet in length by 14 feet in width.
Martin's Mill Covered Bridge is in very good condition and said to be the longest remaining Town Truss type covered bridge in Pennsylvania.
Martin's Mill Covered Bridge was rebuilt after the Hurricane Agnes flood in 1972 and closed to all traffic since 1986.
Martin's Mill Covered Bridge is also known as Shindle Bridge.
