In the movie "Black Dog", the Cookery diner in Bellville, NC, was used as a truck stop restaurant. Patrick Swayze's character 'Jack Crews' stops here for a break after he learns that not only is Meat Loaf's character 'Red' is after his truck's load, but so is the FBI. Gabriel Casseus' character 'Sonny' who's riding along with Jack gets shot and before he dies tells Jack that he's an FBI agent and that the FBI is tracking his truck because of the illegal arms that are in it.
Jack and the rest of the crew end up stopping here at the "Cookery" where he decides to call the FBI to let them know that Sonny is dead. He isn't successful in getting a hold of the right FBI director. Knowing that the FBI is tracking the truck he tells the crew over a meal at the "Cookery" that now is the time to back out before it's too late. One of his crew decides to give up and leave so Jack plants the FBI's tracking device on him and now the FBI is following him instead of Jack's truck.
After this scene the other guy's truck is stopped by the FBI on the Cape Fear Memorial bridge which separates Wilmington and Bellville.
