Formerly called the "Arrowhead Pond," the Honda Center is a popular spot for NHL fans. With easy access and plentiful parking, the location is just across the freeway from Angel Stadium of Anaheim.
Just as the name of the building has changed, so has the team's. Inspired by a Disney movie of the same name, the "Mighty Ducks" flew into town in 1993. The original owner of the team was (no surprise!) the Walt Disney Company. It took a few years to achieve success, but the team won the Stanley Cup at the conclusion of the 2006-2007 season. Their victory marked the first time the cup went to a west coast (and, for that matter, California) team since 1925.
