Crater of Diamonds State Park is the only productive deposit of the precious mineral diamond in the United States. The staff at the crater works to provide you with an enjoyable experience, and also wants you to have the greatest chance possible of finding a diamond.
Diamonds have an oily, slick outer surface that dirt and mud will not stick to. The three most common colors found at the crater are white, yellow, and brown. The visitor center will verify if you have found a diamond. All diamonds are weighed and verified free of charge. " All diamonds, rocks, or minerals you find, are yours to keep." The crater is a 37 acre plowed field. You may search only in the open field with the yellow boundary markers. You can bring your own tools to dig or rent at the crater. Admission for Adults. $6.00 Children 6-12 $3.00 Children under 6 FREE
