Paradise Island, Bahamas (December 6, 2005) – Johnny Rockets, home of the Original hamburger and hand-dipped shakes, announced today the opening of its newest restaurant at the world-famous Atlantis Resort, a premiere travel destination on Paradise Island in The Bahamas. The retro restaurant brings its unique experience to this tropical location, offering tasty combinations, delicious treats and servers who groove to great music.
Visitors will enjoy taking a break from fun in the sun to cool down with a creamy hand-dipped shake or refreshing flavored soft drink. Residents can sample a taste of Americana, as Johnny Rockets serves up familiar favorites such as hamburgers grilled to perfection, fresh American fries and apple pies baked fresh daily. Johnny Rockets franchisee Paradise Restaurants Ltd. chose the Paradise Island setting as the site of the group’s first Johnny Rockets restaurant in The Bahamas.
“We’re thrilled to open our first Johnny Rockets at the famed Atlantis Resort,” said Dino Matsas, vice president of operations, Paradise Restaurants Ltd. “We look forward to bringing the all-American Johnny Rockets experience to this popular destination.”
Paradise Island is known for its tropical beaches, distinct culture and preserved historical sites. The Atlantis Resort is a world-class casino resort that combines magnificent luxury with casual elegance.
“Johnny Rockets and the Atlantis Resort make a perfect combination, just like our hamburgers and American fries,” said Mike Shumsky, chairman and CEO, The Johnny Rockets Group, Inc. "They both provide an escape from everyday life, offering an enjoyable, out of the ordinary experience. We are excited to bring the flavor of American culture to the Islands of The Bahamas and look forward to continued international expansion.”
