$33,000. treehouse may be the only treehouse that has the approval of a State Supreme Court.
Dad decided to build a treehouse for his 4 kids and got permission from the city zoning administrator to construct a beautiful victorian structure in some trees in their yard. But five years later the mayor plenipotentiary order Mom & Dad to tear it down. An alderman explained that it was necessary to avoid another Watergate or Worldcom debacle.
The treehouse, built for about $5,000. cost about $28,000 to defend from overly scrupulous elected officials.
