This statue is located on the grounds of St Joseph Catholic Church in Mogadore, Ohio. Joseph was a carpenter who was pledged to be married to a young girl named Mary. Little did he know that his life would be radically changed after Mary, though a virgin, was pregnant with the Son of God. After the trip to the temple with a now pre-teenaged Jesus, Mary and Joseph lost track of Jesus and accidentally left Him there. After this story, the Scriptures are completely silent in regards to Joseph. Some suppose that Joseph had died by the time Jesus began His public ministry.
