"DESCRIBED BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1962 AT LEXINGTON. AT LEXINGTON, AT THE INTERSECTION OF THIRTEENTH AND MAIN STREETS, AT THE POST OFFICE, IN THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF THE LAWN, 1 FOOT SOUTH OF THE SIDEWALK, ABOUT 1 FOOT ABOVE THE STREET, AND SET IN THE TOP OF A CONCRETE POST PROJECTING 0.4 FOOT."

The building at 13th and Main is no longer the Post Office. It is now the Roy B. Gerhardt Administrative Building for the Lexington R-V school district.
