Fort Funston is part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. It lies just south of Ocean Beach. Steady breezes and 200 foot high cliffs make this a popular destination for hang gliders and RC plane pilots. There are trails down to the beach below, as well as wheelchair accessible loop trails at the top.
