For centuries people cut into the soft sandstone of Kinver Edge to create their homes. The last of Britain's cave dwellers only moved out in the 1950s. One of the dwellings has now been restored to their Victorian period and there is also an exhibition of the history of these unusual homes.
"It used to be lovely in here. During the summer the rock houses were cool, and in the winter they were warm... the rock acted like a huge storage heater."
Margaret Handley, rock house memories, 1989.
