The opening of the Quince Orchard Library in Gaithersburg, Maryland, in 1999 was eagerly anticipated by local patrons. The library is located across the street from Quince Orchard High School and as a result features their teen services. The library opened with 20 computer terminals, more than at any other branch in the county system at the time. It is a full-service library with reference, childrens and adult book lending, audiobooks, audio recordings, free wi-fi, and meeting rooms.
